Math Ace is published by Cyquila LLC (Wylie, Texas).

The short version

Math Ace does not collect anything. It has no account, no sign-in and no analytics, and it makes no network requests while you use it. Every problem, every solution, the typesetting engine and the study course all ship inside the app, so it works with the airplane mode on and never needs to talk to us or to anyone else.

We could not see your practice history if we wanted to. It is not sent anywhere.

What the app stores, and where

All of it stays in the app’s own storage on your device:

Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no server copy, because there is no server.

Children’s privacy

Math Ace is suitable for children — the AMC 8 is a middle-school competition — and is rated 4+. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, which is what makes that straightforward. There is no user-generated content, no messaging, no advertising, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracker of any kind. Nothing in the app can be used to contact or identify a child.

For COPPA purposes: we collect no personal information from children under 13, because we collect no personal information at all.

Links that leave the app

Two kinds of link open outside Math Ace, in your browser: the source link on every problem, which goes to its page on the Art of Problem Solving wiki, and video solution links, mostly to YouTube. Once you follow one you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy rather than ours. We have no relationship with them and receive nothing back.

Content and attribution

The competition problems are © Mathematical Association of America. The written solutions come from the Art of Problem Solving wiki. Every problem in the app links to its source and carries that attribution.

Affiliation

Math Ace is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America or Art of Problem Solving. “AMC”, “AMC 8”, “AMC 10”, “AMC 12” and “American Mathematics Competitions” are trademarks of the Mathematical Association of America, used here only to describe what the app is for.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
